Oh I feel your pain. Has happened here too. Most annoying is Royal Mail, who seem to wait until school run time on purpose, and then only let you collect 24 hours later, from an area where there is no parking. Hope it’s fixed OK the next time….. even more annoying is when they say they have to order parts and will let you know when they’re in! As if you have all the time in the world to wait around for them, and are happy to wear smelly clothes :%

I made eye contact with colleagues in the hallways at work. I realized that I always say hello and inquire as to how people are doing, but I often do this without actually looking at the person. I feel as though I got several reactions today that were more chipper and engaged (brighter smiles… less cursory replies…) than usual. I like the idea that by making eye contact, I’m not only exuding more confidence myself, but I’m also letting the other person know that I value them.

Hi,I have one serious issue with Canonical. My developer placed a wrong canonical. The page where he placed a rel canonical is 100% different. Google already cached the page and now its point to another page. I removed canonical from that page and update my sitemap.xml file before a week but still Google showing my canonical page as a cached page. How much time Google crawler will take to cache such page. I hope you understand my question. If not please let me know. Thanks for any help in advance.

I’m there right now. When I’m overwhelmed, it helps for me to give myself a break. Everyday can’t be uber-productive and I’m my own worst task master. Somedays you need to give yourself permission to do nothing. Play a computer game, go for a walk, sit on the porch and drink a glass of water, etc. Sometimes just telling someone that I’m overwhelmed helps. I don’t want them to fix it, but I just want to be heard.

Impul silhouettes have always been my favorite vintage barrel. When I think of vintage japanese racing, they are always the first wheel to come to mind for me. Something about the shape just gets me. There’s similar vented solid face wheels out there, but none have that sexy concave on the face and none have that perfect feel for me like the original. I love them!!

Hi Mike, and welcome! After getting the dowel rounded (it was off by a few thousandths) I drilled a hole into the hub, and glued the dowel in. It’s quite deep, so it’s not going anywhere. Even if it wanted to twist, the handle hole cuts into the end of the embedded dowel, so the handle is locking it all together during the turn.

Very good point about the help files. It seems like they are writing on the one hand, for someone who has never taken a geography class (kind of insulting really), or on the other hand, for an advanced programmer. No in-between. By the way, the old command line ArcInfo was clunky as hell, but it had EXCELLENT documentation. You could figure out how to do anything if you just read through it. Examples, troubleshooting, error messages that meant something….Sadly when they went to a Windows type interface they also adopted Windows style “help files”.
There are no words to describe how bodacious this is.

That is so wonderful. After we were married for five months we found out she was expecting our first one. At the time we were students and couldn’t afford a honeymoon. We had to wait until our 25th anniversary to head to Vegas and … well what happens in Vegas… you know the saying. Now for our 30th – we are heading to the Isle of Wight in the UK where I will be marrying my daughter, two days before our anniversary.
